About Green Valley Public School
Discover our story — from a humble beginning in 1998 to becoming one of Kottayam's most respected CBSE schools.
About Green Valley
Founded in 1998 by the Green Valley Educational Trust, our school has blossomed from a modest primary school into a thriving CBSE-affiliated institution offering classes from Pre-Primary to Grade XII. Set against the lush Western Ghats foothills in Kottayam district, our 8-acre eco-campus provides the perfect backdrop for holistic learning — combining rigorous academics with sports, arts, community service, and environmental stewardship. With a student-teacher ratio of 20:1, personalised mentoring, and a culture that celebrates every child's unique potential, Green Valley has consistently produced outstanding academic results alongside well-rounded individuals.

Our Journey
Green Valley Public School was founded in 1998 by the visionary educationist Sri. K. P. Varghese and a group of like-minded community leaders who dreamed of a school that would combine academic rigour with the warmth of Kerala's cultural ethos. Starting with just 120 students and 12 teachers in a rented building near Perumala Junction, the school earned its CBSE affiliation in 2002 and moved to its present 8-acre campus the same year. Over the following decades, Green Valley has grown steadily — adding new academic blocks, laboratories, sports facilities, and a performing-arts auditorium — while staying true to its founding principle: every child matters. Today, with nearly 1,850 students, 95 faculty members, and a vibrant alumni network spanning the globe, Green Valley Public School stands as a beacon of holistic education in central Kerala.
